Who We Are
Welcome to Mixed Wrestling Stories — your go-to hub for all the best stories, match coverage, and insights in the wrestling world (except inter-gender content — we don’t cover that here).
Comments
When you drop a comment on our site, we collect what you put in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser info. This helps us keep spam off the site.
If you’re using Gravatar, we might send an anonymized version of your email to check if there’s a profile picture attached. After your comment’s approved, your profile pic will show next to your comment. You can read more about Gravatar’s privacy policy here.
Media
If you upload images to Mixed Wrestling Stories, please don’t include location data (like EXIF GPS) in them. Visitors can download and extract that info if it’s there, and we like to keep things clean and secure.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. That way, you won’t have to type them out again the next time. These cookies last for a year.
We also use cookies if you log in — just the basics like login info and display settings. Login cookies last for two days (or two weeks if you hit “Remember Me”). Display setting cookies last for a year. Once you log out, the login cookies are cleared.
If you edit or publish an article, your browser will save a simple cookie with the post ID. Nothing personal, and it disappears after one day.
Embedded Content
Some of our stories might include videos, tweets, or other embedded stuff from third-party websites. When you interact with that content, it’s the same as visiting those external sites directly — so their privacy practices apply.
Who We Share Your Data With
If you ever request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email — that’s just for security reasons.
How Long We Keep Your Info
Comments and their related data are stored indefinitely. This helps us recognize your future comments faster and skip the moderation queue.
If you register on the site (whenever that feature becomes available), your personal info stays in your user profile. You can view, update, or delete your info anytime — except your username. Admins can see and edit that info too.
Your Data, Your Rights
If you’ve left comments or created an account, you can ask for a file of the personal data we’ve got on you. You can also request that we delete it — unless we’re legally required to keep it for admin, legal, or security reasons.
Where Your Data Goes
Visitor comments might be checked through a spam detection tool just to keep things clean.
